The tendering process for all building works remains the same whether it is roads, railways, or sanitation; the simple objective is to construct the infrastructure or facilities by a contractor.

As Project Management Consultants, Arkitechno evaluates the capabilities of the contractor and then supervises the work along with quality control, check-in measurements and payment certification.

We coordinate with the designers for documents and drawings, which are then passed on to the clients after due scrutiny. After the bids are received we evaluate the same and recommend the award. The activities required for Project Sammaan are very similar to other tendering process we have handled before.

The challenges faced, or ones we are anticipating will be faced, involve delays in collecting information regarding availability of land, survey and design. Following this comes potential delays in receiving approvals. Needless to say, delays in either of these can negatively impact the project timeline as activities dependent upon these approvals (e.g., construction) are correspondingly delayed.

At this time, Project Samman has received government approval for 27 Public Toilets at Bhubaneswar; these are ready for Tender Invitation. Out of 60 Community Toilets in Bhubaneswar site selection has been completed for around 43. We are awaiting tender documents for submission to BMC.

For the 32 Community Toilets of Cuttack, financial approval has been accorded. We are to submit Tender documents with drawings to CMC for further processing, which will be available by the end of this month.
