Tender Update from Anagram

It’s that time again – to transform our architectural designs into tender documents.

Given our previous experience with the public toilet’s tender documents, we have learnt that developing a tender can be as challenging, if not much more, than the actual architectural design. Since it involves inputs from several consultants working on different elements of the design, it can lead to delays which can impact the final deadline for tender documents.

Due to change in sewerage consultants (CDD) and the project management team (Arkitechno), substantial time was spent in familiarizing them with the project status. As per the project timeline, it was decided to kick off MEP drawings by the first week of June. This was delayed by a couple of weeks due to strong interdependencies on the consultants and a delay in sewerage drawings. Meanwhile, we focused on producing working drawings batch 2 for public toilets and a detailed physical model of the 12-seater (Enhanced Layer) community toilet.

Once we received the required information from CDD, we started working on MEP drawings. Our central concern now is to motivate our consultants to produce the drawings as soon as possible to achieve our August deadline for tender documents. At the same time, we are coordinating with Codesign to produce branding solutions for these toilets.

Regarding batch 1- Public toilets, we met Mr. Pattnaik from Arkitechno in Delhi and handed over the working drawings for them. Also, there were some issues raised by Mr. Hota (retired Chief Engineer and Consultant to H&UD Dept) in the Public Toilet tender documents for which Anagram  Architects along with Arkitechno and Quicksand met with him to resolve them.
