Open Innovation Challenge Winner!

We are very happy to announce the results for the Open Innovation Challenge!

Amongst the entries received for the Architectural Design Challenge, there is one that stands out for its extremely sound contextual understanding and the effectiveness with which it translated insights into design directions.

The entry was submitted by RMA Architects and the Project Sammaan team was unanimous in selecting it as the winner. Besides responding to the brief extremely well, the entry provided new directions which could be incorporated in the architectural design’s next iteration.

RMA’s entry was a standout as it brought great insight as well as empathy. Our team holds both qualities near and dear to design activities. Also, their resolution of design principles for the brief was spot-on and provided actionable paths for our design team.

We did not receive any entries that matched our minimum criteria for the hand-washing and waste management challenges. The briefs will now act as a framework for the product design studio and/or engineering firm we partner with going forward.

Thank you to everyone who sent in their entries. They’ve given the team a lot to think about thanks to the unique perspectives brought to potential solutions.
