Project Partner Profile: CTRAN

This is part of a series of posts that shares more about the project partners and the important roles each plays.

CTRAN Consulting manages large, complex development projects by providing a mix of program management and technical assistance.

For Project Sammaan, they are the one-point contact for interfacing with various government agencies. In this role, they facilitate meetings with government representatives, assist in the land approval process, and are establishing Project Management Offices within BMC and CMC.

Facilitating meetings may sound like a simple scheduling exercise, but once you take into account all the moving pieces, the task becomes near herculean. Numerous government representatives (along with their different, and hectic, daily schedules) need to be involved. CTRAN has mapped each corporation out in detail and have close relationships with all members key to the project. This has proved absolutely invaluable.

CTRAN Interface Manager Shivangi Varma recently wrote a post detailing efforts in regards to site selection. She and her colleagues were tasked with the yeoman’s job of gathering all the site-specific details required for the 150+ locations requiring evaluation. This includes ownership details, plot size, slum name, location and a host of others.

As the name suggests, the Project Management Offices (PMOs) will take the lead on overseeing the facilities once they are built. Within these offices, call centers will handle service requests from caretakers and users to ensure proper operations and maintenance. CTRAN and the Municipal Corporations are working together in evaluating and training government employees to take on this role.

Outside Project Sammaan, CTRAN Consulting has provided services to a number of internationally and domestically funded projects with donors and other support agencies across various sectors.

CTRAN Consulting is headquartered at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.
